I am an Associate Professor of Applied Informatics (specializing in social informatics) at the Faculty of Informatics and Statistics at Prague University of Economics and Business, Czechia and a Senior Research Associate at the Centre for Social Informatics at University of Ljubljana, Slovenia. In the past, I was involved in digital marketing management (applied research and my PhD study). I am co-founder and Editor-in-Chief of Acta Informatica Pragensia (journal of applied informatics), which is indexed in Web of Science and Scopus, the world's most prestigious scientific citation databases. I have published over eighty peer-reviewed journal articles, conference papers, and book chapters. Selected publications can be found in the Publications section. I am or have been a guarantor of master's and doctoral courses focused mainly on the social and psychological aspects of information technology, social informatics, business process improvement, or preparation and presentation of scientific publications. I have been teaching at universities since 2011 and was a supervisor or opponent of over a hundred bachelor and diploma theses in the field of informatics.
I also worked as an R&D Project Manager focused on intelligent transportation systems for various organizations. I helped them implement innovations into practice, developed new technologies and supported their commercialization. I have over twenty years of experience in European and Czech applied research and development projects (participated on more than 20 projects) in the aggregate value of higher units of millions of euros.
